The artwork is based on the book by my friend, father Karel Gržan I WONDER WHAT DOES GOD DO IN HEAVEN WHEN THERE ARE SO MANY SUFFERING PEOPLE ON EARTH. The frame of the picture is modeled after the lid of the tomb of the Mayan king Kʼinich Janaab Pakal I in Mexico. The basis of the picture is a hurricane cloud, which is complemented by three plastics.
Above: Jesus of Saint John of the Cross (Salvador Dali)
Bottom right: Mother with dead child (Guernica, Pablo Piccaso)
Bottom left: napalm girl (after photographs of Phan Thi Kim Phuc, taken on June 8, 1972 by photographer Nick Ut).
With this artwork, I wanted to show how our world got caught up in the rage and misery of human suffering, I ask the viewer the question WHY...
